We’re recruiting for a full-time or a part-time (3 days per week) position, making this a great opportunity whether you’re looking for a full-time career or a better work-life balance.
Based from our Ripon store, you’ll work as part of a two-person team delivering and assembling beds in customers’ homes, along with occasional bedroom furniture. You’ll provide deliveries for customers of our Ripon, Catterick and Northallerton stores across North Yorkshire and surrounding areas.
Every working day starts and finishes at our Ripon store before heading out on the day’s deliveries.
This is a varied, hands-on role where no two days are the same. You’ll be out on the road every day, meeting customers, working across North Yorkshire and taking pride in delivering an excellent service. With Monday to Friday working, you’ll also have your weekends free to enjoy.
As a member of a small, supportive team, you’ll also help with warehouse duties and the general upkeep of our stores and premises whenever required.

Key Responsibilities
* Deliver and assemble beds, mattresses and occasional bedroom furniture in customers’ homes.
* Safely load and unload products at our stores, warehouse and customer properties.
* Plan and complete daily delivery routes efficiently.
* Provide outstanding customer service and represent Simply Beds professionally at every customer visit.
* Maintain the cleanliness and safety of your delivery vehicle.
* Assist with warehouse duties, stock movements and deliveries between our stores when required.
* Help maintain our stores and premises, including general housekeeping, keeping outdoor areas tidy, basic grounds maintenance and occasional painting or maintenance tasks.
* Carry out other reasonable duties to support the smooth running of the business.

About You
We’re looking for someone who:
* Holds a full UK driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
* Has at least two years’ driving experience.
* Enjoys practical, hands-on work and takes pride in doing a job properly.
* Has excellent customer service and communication skills.
* Is reliable, punctual and works well as part of a team.
* Is willing to get involved wherever needed and support the wider business.
* Previous delivery, furniture assembly or warehouse experience would be an advantage, but is not essential.

This is a physically demanding role that involves regular lifting, carrying and assembling beds in customers’ homes. You’ll frequently be moving heavy mattresses, bed frames and ottoman divans, often up flights of stairs, so a good level of physical fitness and the ability to carry out manual handling safely are essential.
