In the role you will undertake a range of daily activities relating to the process investigation, configuration, testing and troubleshooting required to ensure a stable, efficient and effective financial and payroll application (Unit4).
Knowledge of the Unit4 application would be desirable as would experience in a similar system support role. The role also has key responsibilities in undertaking helpdesk activity; providing excellent technical support, customer service and advice to our colleagues who process a range of daily activities across Finance.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Providing functional and configuration support for Unit4 ERP Finance modules
- Investigating and resolving system defects, incidents and data issues
- Managing service requests, configuration changes and system developments through the full lifecycle from requirements gathering to deployment
- Supporting upgrades, testing, release management and other system administration activities
- Working closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and deliver effective ERP solutions
- Acting as a subject matter expert within designated Finance areas
This role would suit someone with significant IT experience and knowledge of Microsoft Office, excellent communication skills and an ability to interpret and present data in a meaningful way. A pro-active and positive attitude with the ability to manage pressure effectively within a fast-paced environment is key.
This is an agile post which means working in one of our modern ‘Hub’ style offices in locations across the borough as well as the opportunity to work from home where suitable. The benefits of working for the Council go well beyond making a difference to people’s lives; as well as working within a supportive environment with people who share your values you will have access to a range of benefits.
We are incredibly proud to be Investors in People ‘Silver’ status, which illustrates that we care about our people and are ambitious to do even more for them. We truly are an amazing place to work!
If your experience looks a little different from what we've identified and you think you can bring value to the role, we'd love to learn more about you!
