We're looking for a qualified, experienced practitioner who wants more than a job — someone ready to lead in the room, grow professionally, and genuinely shape the early years of children in Ilkeston.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification or above (essential - applications without this will not be progressed)
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a nursery, EYFS, or early years setting
- Solid, working knowledge of the EYFS framework and child development
- Strong communication skills and a natural ability to support junior colleagues
- Right to work in the UK
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Plan and lead engaging, EYFS-aligned activities that children genuinely enjoy
- Act as a role model and informal mentor for junior practitioners in your room
- Build trusted relationships with children, parents, and families
- Observe, document, and track children's development accurately
- Uphold safeguarding, health, and safety standards at all times
- Step up to lead the room when required

PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS
- Two satisfactory references
- Enhanced DBS check (required prior to start)
- Overseas criminal record check if you have lived or worked outside the UK in the last 5 years

Pay: £27,500.00-£29,000.00 per year
