The Role
The role will include:
- High-quality chairside dental nursing and anticipating the dentist’s needs.
- Preparing surgeries, instruments and materials for clinical sessions.
- Implant nursing and surgical assistance – experience desirable.
- Dental radiography – qualification and experience desirable.
- Reception duties including answering calls, booking appointments and taking payments- experience desirable.
- Welcoming patients and providing a professional and friendly front-of-house service.
- Treatment coordination (TCO), including supporting patients with treatment plans, appointments and follow-up care. Experience desirable
- Managing referrals, correspondence and patient administration.
- Maintaining accurate clinical and patient records.
- Supporting the smooth running and organisation of the practice.
- Maintaining excellent cross-infection control and sterilisation standards.
We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate will:
- Be GDC registered and qualified as a Dental Nurse.
- Have proven experience working in a dental practice.
- Be reliable, punctual, hardworking and professional.
- Have excellent communication and patient-care skills.
- Be confident dealing with patients both clinically and at reception.
- Be organised, proactive and able to work independently.
- Work well as part of a team and be willing to take responsibility.
Desirable Experience
We would particularly welcome applicants with evidence of:
- Treatment Coordinator (TCO) experience.
- Dental practice management or team-lead experience.
- Implant nursing and surgical assistance.
- Dental radiography.
- Practice manager assisting experience.
- Managing referrals, patient journeys and treatment follow-up.
We are looking for more than someone who can simply assist chairside. We want a dependable, experienced Dental Nurse who can contribute to the wider running of the practice and provide an excellent patient experience from first contact through to completion of treatment.
