Construction Improver / Skilled Labourer
£105–£140 per day depending on experience and ability

EcoBuilders.Green is looking for a Construction Improver / Skilled Labourer to join our growing team.
This is an opportunity for someone who already has some experience in construction but wants to learn more, become genuinely useful across different trades and build a long-term career in the industry.
We are not looking for someone who only wants to carry materials and sweep up.
Those jobs are part of working on a building site, but we want someone who wants to learn how to build as well.
The Role
You will work directly alongside experienced members of the EcoBuilders team on high-quality residential projects across Essex.
Your day-to-day work will vary and may include:
- Assisting carpentry works
- Basic timber work
- Insulation installation
- Airtightness and membrane works
- Basic general building
- Assisting first and second fix works
- Using hand and power tools
- Setting up work areas
- Measuring and cutting materials
- Protecting finished work
- Organising materials and deliveries
- Supporting specialist trades
- Keeping the site clean and organised
- Learning new skills as your ability develops
As you improve, we will expect you to take on more work independently.
Who We're Looking For
Attitude is extremely important for this role.

- Has some previous construction or site experience
- Is practical and enjoys working with their hands
- Is comfortable using basic tools

A full UK driving licence is preferred.
Pay
£105–£140 per day
Your starting rate will depend on your current experience, practical ability and what you can contribute from day one.
This is a development role.
As your skills improve and you become capable of taking on more work independently, there will be opportunities for your pay and position within the company to progress.
