Independent Truck Service Ltd (ITS) is a leading vehicle transport and logistics provider, delivering vehicles nationwide for a range of customers across the automotive sector. Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced HGV Class 1 PM Shift Driver to join our professional vehicle delivery team based in Middleton, Tamworth.
This is a full-time, permanent position offering a competitive salary of £60,000 per year plus overtime opportunities.
The Role
As a Vehicle Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient collection and delivery of vehicles throughout the UK while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, customer service, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport and deliver vehicles nationwide.
- Complete vehicle collections and deliveries to dealerships, compounds, ports, and customer locations.
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects.
- Ensure all paperwork and electronic records are completed accurately.
- Adhere to all Driver Hours, Working Time Directive, and transport legislation.
- Maintain excellent communication with customers and the transport office.
- Represent Independent Truck Service Ltd professionally at all times.
Essential Requirements
- Valid UK HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence.
- Valid Driver CPC Qualification.
- Digital Tachograph Card.
- Previous vehicle/car delivery experience is essential.
- Strong knowledge of UK transport regulations.
- Professional attitude with excellent attention to detail.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
Training & Development
While previous vehicle delivery experience is required, successful candidates will receive full company training and ongoing support to ensure they meet ITS operational standards and procedures.
