As we step into a new academic year, TCW is expanding our creative offer and looking for an inspiring Creative Teacher to join our growing team. If you’re ready to use creativity to re-engage young people with education, this could be your next meaningful move.
TCW is an alternative independent school supporting students from Key Stages 1–5 who are unable to attend mainstream education. Many of our learners have SEND needs or have experienced exclusion. We deliver personalised 1:1 and small-group learning across London in homes, libraries, and learning centres, reigniting curiosity, confidence, and a love of learning.
The Role
We’re looking for a passionate, imaginative educator with a creative background (art, design, media, performance or multi-disciplinary practice) to deliver engaging, qualification-based creative learning.
You’ll:
- Deliver inspiring 1:1 and small group creative sessions
- Adapt learning to individual student interests and needs
- Oversee creative progress for assigned students (up to 20)
- Support qualification pathways (Entry Level, Unit Awards, GCSE)
- Work collaboratively with offsite creative teachers to ensure consistency across TCW’s creative curriculum
About You
- Creative practitioner with teaching experience
- Experience working with SEND or behavioural needs
- Confident, adaptable, and highly organised
- Passionate about inclusive, student-led learning
- A strong collaborator who enjoys innovative approaches to education
Desirable
- Degree in Business or related field
- Experience running or managing a creative business/start-up
- Background in alternative or creative education settings

Training & Development
- Induction Day (9:00–3:45)
- 5 Tuesday induction sessions (4:30–6:00pm)
- Weekly Thursday CPD sessions (4:30–6:00pm)
