Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with the curriculum and cater to diverse learning styles.
- Teach English language skills, including reading, writing, speaking, and listening, while integrating literature into the curriculum.
- Assess student performance through regular evaluations, assignments, and exams, providing constructive feedback to support their growth.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters a sense of belonging.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching strategies and share best practices.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and any concerns that may arise.
- Stay updated on educational trends and methodologies to continuously improve teaching practices.
Requirements
- A relevant degree in English, Education, or a related field is essential.
- Strong knowledge of the English language and literature curriculum and effective teaching methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage students effectively.
- Experience in teaching English at the secondary level is advantageous but not mandatory.
- A passion for literature and education, along with a commitment to student development.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also demonstrating initiative in lesson planning and classroom management.
