Job Summary

Duties
- Lead and supervise groups of children during playtime, ensuring safety and engagement at all times
- Plan and implement creative activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development
- Support junior staff and volunteers by providing guidance, mentorship, and training in childcare best practices
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress, attendance, and any incidents or concerns
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate children's needs and developmental milestones effectively
- Ensure the play environment is clean, safe, and well-organized in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Drive activity vehicles or transport children when required for outings or excursions
Skills
- Proven experience in childcare roles such as teaching, nannying, or similar environments with a focus on child development
- Strong knowledge of child safety protocols and safeguarding procedures
- Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in French is a plus for bilingual settings
- Ability to lead activities confidently while fostering a fun and inclusive atmosphere
- Valid driving license to facilitate transportation duties when necessary
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, children, and families
- Passion for nurturing children's growth through playful learning experiences
