Float Therapy Wilmslow is an independent wellness studio on Chapel Lane. People come to us to switch off: an hour weightless and soundless in a float tank, the heat of an infrared sauna followed by the shock of an ice bath, or a massage that undoes a hard week. Most walk in tense and walk out lighter.
We're small, so on a weekend shift you are the face of the place.
The role
You are the person our guests meet. Saturday and Sunday, 2:30pm to 9pm — thirteen hours a week.
Your weekend looks like this
- Welcome every guest warmly, and settle the first-timers who are nervous about the tank or the cold
- Explain floating, contrast therapy and massage clearly and confidently — what to expect, what to bring, what it actually does
- Run the diary on our booking system: check-ins, payments, gift cards, rebooking, phone and messages
- Turn rooms around between guests — showers, floors, linens, restock — to a standard you'd be happy to use yourself
- Keep the studio calm and welcoming from the moment the door opens to the moment it closes
What we're looking for
- Warm with people, and unbothered by the ones who arrive stressed
- Genuinely tidy — you spot the smeared mirror before a guest does
- Reliable. Weekend cover only works if the person turns up, every weekend
- Comfortable on your own for stretches, and calm when something goes sideways: a late guest, a sulking card machine, a full diary
- Confident with a booking system and a card terminal, or quick to pick one up
Helpful, but not essential
- Hospitality, spa, salon, gym or retail experience
- An interest in wellness, recovery or sport
We will teach you floating, contrast therapy, safety procedures and our systems. We can't teach you to care about the details.
