We are currently seeking a compassionate, experienced, and motivated Senior Care Assistant to join our team and help deliver exceptional standards of person-centred care.

The Role
This is a hands-on leadership position combining direct care responsibilities with team supervision and support. The successful candidate will work one supernumerary day each week, alongside three shifts providing direct care on the floor, ensuring residents receive the highest standards of care and support.
You will play a key role in leading care staff, maintaining care records, supporting care planning, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, and support care staff to deliver high-quality, person-centred care.
- Assist with the day-to-day running of shifts and act as a role model for the care team.
- Ensure care plans are implemented, reviewed, and updated accurately using electronic care planning systems.
- Provide personal care and support with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, mobility, and meal assistance.
- Monitor residents' wellbeing and promptly report any concerns or changes in condition.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Communicate effectively with residents, relatives, healthcare professionals, and colleagues.
- Support staff training, mentoring, and ongoing development.
- Promote dignity, independence, choice, and respect for all residents.
- Assist with appointments and activities where required.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience as a Senior Care Assistant or in a similar supervisory role within a care setting.
- Experience leading, motivating, and supporting care teams.
- Strong knowledge of person-centred care practices.
- Experience using electronic care planning systems.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Good IT skills and confidence maintaining digital records.
- A caring, compassionate, and professional approach.
- Understanding of CQC standards and regulatory requirements (desirable).
- Experience working with elderly residents, including those living with dementia.
- A valid UK driving licence (desirable).
