Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Groundskeeper to maintain the beauty and functionality of our outdoor spaces. The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge of landscape maintenance and demonstrate proficiency in using both hand and power tools. This role is essential for ensuring that our gardens, lawns, and other landscaped areas are well-kept and inviting.
Duties
- Perform regular landscape maintenance, including mowing, trimming, and edging lawns.
- Dig and prepare soil for planting flowers, shrubs, and trees.
- Build and maintain garden beds, ensuring they are healthy and aesthetically pleasing.
- Irrigate plants effectively to promote growth while conserving water.
- Utilise hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently for various groundskeeping tasks.
- Conduct routine inspections of the grounds to identify areas needing attention or repair.
- Maintain equipment in good working order through regular cleaning and minor repairs.
- Assist in the design and implementation of new landscaping projects as required.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in groundskeeping or landscape maintenance is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to operate and maintain various tools and equipment.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while performing physical tasks.
- Familiarity with gardening techniques, including plant care and pest management.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of work.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team when required.
