H Whittaker & Sons of Macclesfield Ltd, has been operating within the transport industry for over 60 years. During this time we have moved goods successfully throughout the UK and Europe. This has helped us as an organisation to develop extensive knowledge of road transport.
We currently have multiple openings for reliable and driven HGV Class 1 & 2 drivers. Who would like to join our friendly team on a permanent, full time basis. Our main depot is based in Macclesfield, Cheshire.
Job Role:
As a Class 1 & 2 driver for H Whittaker & Sons you will be required to complete daily deliveries and collections from around the UK, ensuring our company values are upheld. Completing them in a safe and timely manner, following delivery schedules and having an understanding of re-routing if and when required. Inspect vehicles daily to ensure roadworthiness.
The ideal candidate should also be polite and have good communication skills as you will be representing the company to our customers.
We transport various materials some which require the driver to be ADR trained, this is not a necessary requirement for this role but would be advantageous.
