Responsibilities
- Manage a range of employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, absence management, and performance matters, ensuring fair and consistent application of company policies and UK employment legislation.
- Provide proactive day-to-day HR advice and guidance to managers on employee relations, performance management, policy interpretation, and HR best practices.
- Ensure compliance with UK employment law and company policies, keeping abreast of legislative changes and supporting managers in implementing best practice.
- Review, maintain, and update HR policies, procedures, and employee documentation to ensure legal compliance and operational effectiveness.
- Support the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, induction, and retention initiatives to attract and retain high-performing employees.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
- Administer employee leave, attendance, and HR information systems.
- Assist with performance management, training, and employee development initiatives.
- Provide guidance to employees on HR policies and procedures.
- Support employee relations by addressing routine HR enquiries and assisting with workplace issues.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in an HR Officer, HR Advisor, or similar HR role.
- Good knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
- Experience handling employee relations cases.
- Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships and support managers.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and HR systems.
- CIPD Level 3 or 5 (or working towards) is desirable.
