Bartender
Dowans Hotel is looking for a bartender to join our team in Aberlour.
This is an opportunity to work in one of Speyside's leading whisky hotels, serving both hotel residents and local guests in our busy bar and lounge.
We are looking for someone who enjoys working in hospitality, takes pride in delivering excellent customer service, and can contribute positively to a hardworking team environment.
While whisky and cocktail knowledge would be an advantage, attitude, reliability, and a willingness to learn are equally important to us.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing and serving a range of drinks, including cocktails, spirits, wines, beers, and soft drinks
- Delivering friendly and professional service to guests
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the bar area
- Assisting with stock control and daily bar operations
- Developing knowledge of our collection of over 650 whiskies and wider drinks offering
- Working closely with colleagues to ensure a smooth and efficient service
What We're Looking For
- Previous bar experience is preferred
- An interest in whisky and cocktails
- Strong customer service skills
- A positive attitude and good work ethic
- The ability to work well under pressure in a busy environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
