About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced, hands-on General Manager to lead one of the busiest bars in the city centre. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and has a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.
As General Manager, you’ll take full responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the venue, leading and inspiring your team while driving sales, maintaining high operational standards, and ensuring outstanding service every day.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate and develop a high-performing management and bar team.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and create a welcoming atmosphere.
- Manage all aspects of daily operations, including staffing, stock control, compliance and health & safety.
- Drive sales, profitability and business growth through excellent operational management.
- Recruit, train and develop team members.
- Manage labour costs, stock margins and budgets effectively.
- Ensure licensing laws and company policies are followed at all times.
- Build a positive team culture with high standards and accountability.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as a General Manager or senior manager in a busy bar, pub or late-night venue.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Experience managing high-volume sales and large teams.
- Commercial awareness with a track record of achieving financial targets.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Passion for hospitality and delivering memorable customer experiences.
- Personal Licence (preferred but not essential).
