About the role
The Oswin Project is a North East charity creating employment opportunities for people leaving prison. We're recruiting a part-time driver to support growing demand from our newly opened bakery.
You'll transport food orders and equipment safely across the region, support the team with packaging and deliveries, and represent the charity professionally in the community. It's a practical, varied role with genuine social purpose.
Responsibilities
- Transport bakery orders safely to multiple sites across the North East
- Support packaging and delivery work at HMP Northumberland
- Carry out collections and deliveries, including market garden produce to our farm shop
- Keep vehicles clean, roadworthy and fuelled; complete checks and records
- Load and unload as needed; report defects and incidents promptly
- Follow all road safety and organisational policies
Requirements
- Full UK driving licence with a clean driving record
- Good knowledge of local routes and the surrounding area
- Able to pass background checks for access to HMP Northumberland
- Physically able to load, unload and push a heavy trolley
- Reliable, punctual and professional, with good communication skills
Desirable
Experience in the charity, social enterprise or community sector; experience delivering to external customers.
