Forklift Driver / Labourer / Handyman required for a busy manufacturing company in the Castleford WF10 area.
Candidates must have a current transferable licence to operate a counterbalance forklift truck. Duties include loading and unloading vehicles, moving large moulds in & out of the factory, and moving stock including drums/IBCS of raw materials. Experience in a similar environment is desirable.
Duties will also include general labouring / repair / maintenance work not involving using a forklift truck as and when required, therefore any woodwork/carpentary skills or similar is desireable although not essential.
There will also be a small proprotion of time spent dealing with stock rotation / control so sound literacy and numeracy skills are essential.
The position involves a large element of outside work in all seasons, weatherproof clothing will obviously be supplied by the company.
Hours of work are Monday - Thursday 08:00 - 16:30, Friday 06:00 - 13:15 on a fixed term, permanent basis.
Rate of pay is £ 13.40 per hour paid weekly with an additional attendance bonus awarded after a 3 month probationary period.
