We are seeking an experienced Administration Officer on a fixed term contract to join our Early Years Service. This is a key role supporting the delivery of high-quality administrative services across Early Years programmes and initiatives, while providing direct support to the Early Years Project Manager.
About the Role
As Administration Officer, you will be responsible for managing and developing administrative systems, coordinating office processes, and supporting the effective operation of the Early Years Service.
Key responsibilities include:

Administering funding claims for the early education entitlements.

Managing and coordinating day-to-day administrative services.

Providing support to the Early Years Project Manager.

Supervising and supporting administrative team members.
-
Developing and maintaining effective record management and information systems.

Producing reports, correspondence and confidential documentation.
-
Managing financial administration, including invoice processing, budget monitoring and petty cash procedures.

Monitoring data and performance information to support service improvement.

Liaising with internal departments, schools, childcare providers and other partners
About You
We are looking for someone who:

Has administrative experience in a busy working environment.

Demonstrates excellent organisational and time management skills.

Can manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion.

Possesses strong ICT skills, including experience of databases and Microsoft Office applications.

Has excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Can analyse information, produce reports and monitor performance data.

Can build positive working relationships with a wide range of colleagues and external partners.

Has experience of financial administration and budget monitoring processes.
