Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Domiciliary Care Worker to join our compassionate team. This role involves providing high-quality care and support to individuals in their own homes, promoting independence and wellbeing. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a genuine passion for caring for others. Previous experience in care homes or senior care settings, along with supervising experience, is essential. A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate travel between clients' residences. Duties
- Deliver personalised care plans tailored to each individual's needs, ensuring dignity and respect at all times
- Supervise and mentor junior care staff, fostering a positive team environment and ensuring high standards of care
- Assist clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, medication management, meal preparation, and mobility support
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided using IT systems and ensure compliance with organisational policies
- Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals to coordinate care and address any concerns
- Support clients in maintaining their independence and social engagement within their community
- Ensure health and safety protocols are adhered to during all aspects of care delivery
Experience
- Proven supervisory experience within a care home or domiciliary care setting
- Demonstrable leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide team members
- Experience in developing and implementing care plans tailored to individual needs
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to liaise effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Proficiency in using IT systems relevant to care documentation and reporting
- Valid driving licence is advantageous for travel between client locations
- Prior experience working with senior clients or within senior care environments is highly desirable
Pay: £13.67-£14.71 per hour
