Overview
We are seeking a diligent Egg Packer to join our busy warehouse team. The successful candidate will be responsible for efficiently packing eggs, ensuring quality standards are maintained, and supporting warehouse operations.
Duties
- Carefully pack eggs following specified procedures to prevent damage during transit
- Handle materials and products with care, maintaining hygiene and safety standards
- Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, including checking deliveries and preparing orders for dispatch
- Perform picking and packing tasks efficiently to meet daily targets
- Organise storage areas to optimise space utilisation
- Conduct quality control checks on packed eggs to ensure compliance with safety standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the packing area, adhering to health and safety regulations
Requirements
- Proven experience in warehouse management, stock handling, or related roles is desirable
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during loading and unloading activities
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in packing and quality control processes
- Physical fitness to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks effectively
- Previous experience in picking & packing, stocking, or similar roles within a warehouse environment is preferred
Additional Job details
- Probation period of 3 months
- Start time of 6am
- Minimum of 10 hours a week but this is more likely to be closer to the maximum of 25 hours most weeks.
