K Packaging Ltd is continuing to grow and we are looking to recruit an Experienced Counterbalance Forklift Driver & Warehouse Operative to join our busy Head Office warehouse in Rotherham.
We are keen to hear from motivated, enthusiastic individuals who are customer-focused, reliable team players, and who take pride in their work. You will be an integral part of our warehouse team, supporting the smooth day-to-day running of depot operations.
We are looking for someone who:
- Is currently qualified and up-to-date (not just experienced in the past)
- Has recent hands-on warehouse experience
- Is comfortable with physical work + accuracy (order picking)
Working Hours
- Monday – Thursday: 7:00am – 4:30pm
- Friday: 7:00am – 3:30pm
- 44 hours per week, Monday to Friday only (no weekends)
Some flexibility is required at times to ensure the efficient operation of the depot.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Take daily instructions from Warehouse Managers
- Operate counterbalance forklifts
- Load and unload delivery vehicles
- Check incoming goods against supplier delivery notes
- Identify, record, and report damaged or missing goods
- Sign delivery notes only once orders are confirmed as correct
- Move goods to designated storage locations
- Ensure all goods are correctly labelled
- Allocate storage space according to item type and size
- Order picking and preparing goods for dispatch
- Inspect goods during picking and isolate/report damaged items
- Ensure picked goods match delivery documentation accurately
- Move picked goods to delivery pallets using forklifts
- Assist with stock management and stock takes
- Help organise delivery runs in route order
- Maintain effective working relationships with delivery drivers
- Respond efficiently to customer collections
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised warehouse environment
- Carry out general warehouse maintenance and ad-hoc duties as required
Essential Requirements
- Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence
- Minimum 2 years’ experience operating forklifts and within the last 2 years.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in manual handling of goods and within the last 2 years.
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in order picking and within the last 2 years.
