We're looking for a Solar Service Manager with the drive to grow our operational fleet. Reporting to the Head of O&M, you’ll rally a talented team, deliver service our customers can't stop talking about, and lead the charge to grow the portfolio. If you're a natural leader who loves a challenge and wants to make a real mark, this one's for you.
About the role
Your primary responsibility will be to deliver and grow SunGift's service package offerings. By offering unrivalled quality and outstanding service, you’ll retain existing customers as well as undertake business development to win new ones.
You'll balance leading and developing the team with a strong focus on customer service excellence and winning new business, while keeping service delivery on track.
What you'll be doing
- Customer relationships: Build strong, long-term relationships with customers, act as a senior point of escalation, and identify ways to add value and grow accounts.
- Business development: Grow a healthy pipeline of servicing and maintenance business, identify new opportunities, and pitch SunGift's O&M offering to new and existing customers.
- Leadership & people: Lead, manage and develop the O&M team, hold regular 1-to-1s and performance reviews, manage resourcing and scheduling, and support recruitment, onboarding and training.
- Project mobilisation & delivery: Oversee smooth onboarding of new contracts and ensure maintenance packages and reactive works are delivered on time, to a high standard and in line with SLAs.
- Project management: Support the wider team to manage O&M projects including their resources, timelines, costs and supplier relationships.
- Reporting: Monitor and report on O&M performance against KPIs, targets and budgets, and use monitoring portals to stay ahead of issues.
- Continuous improvement: Keep an eye out for smarter ways of working and new technologies that can improve the service and the business.
