Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and physically fit individual to join our team as a Driver and Labourer. This role involves delivering goods efficiently whilst assisting with various labour tasks around the site. The successful candidate will be responsible for safe driving, handling heavy loads, and supporting operational activities to ensure smooth daily operations. Previous experience in delivery driving and warehouse work is highly desirable, along with strong communication skills and the ability to perform heavy lifting.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles, including lorries or vans, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Deliver goods to designated locations promptly and professionally
- Assist with loading and unloading items, ensuring proper handling of heavy or fragile loads
- Support warehouse activities such as organising stock, moving materials, and maintaining cleanliness
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients regarding delivery schedules or any issues encountered during operations
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs promptly
- Assist with general labour tasks around the premises as required, including heavy lifting and manual handling
Requirements
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving roles
- Valid driver’s licence suitable for operating company vehicles (e.g., car or <PERSON> driver licence)
- Experience working in warehouse environments or manual labour roles
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physically demanding tasks
- Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and clients
- Good organisational skills with attention to safety procedures and detail-oriented approach
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
