We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Chemist to join our Water and Food Testing Laboratory. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' experience in an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratory and be capable of working independently while maintaining high standards of quality, accuracy, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform chemical analysis of water and food samples using approved test methods.
- Prepare samples, reagents, and standards for testing.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment.
- Ensure all testing is carried out in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025 quality management requirements.
- Record, review, and report analytical results accurately and within agreed turnaround times.
- Maintain laboratory records and documentation.
- Follow laboratory health, safety, and quality procedures.
- Work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision.
Essential Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a Water and Food Testing Laboratory.
- Experience working in an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratory.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage assigned tasks.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is desirable.
