Job Title: Solo Kitchen Chef / Cook Location: Milton Keynes (MK11 Live Music Venue & Sports Bar) Salary: £10.00 – £14.00 per hour (dependent on age/experience) + Overtime available Start Date: ASAP

The Role: Solo Chef You will be running the kitchen independently during your shifts. This means you are solely responsible for keeping food coming out fast, maintaining high standards, and keeping the kitchen spotlessly clean.
Key Responsibilities
- Food Preparation & Cooking: Prepare and serve our simple menu to order, quickly and to a consistently high standard during busy sports/music rushes.
- Kitchen Ownership: Independently manage opening/closing checklists and ensure full daily completion of the Safer Food Better Business handbook.
- Hygiene & Safety: Maintain exceptionally high cleanliness standards, adhering strictly to all food safety regulations.
- Time Management: Maximize quiet periods by proactively completing daily/weekly deep cleaning and prep tasks.
What We Are Looking For
- Local to Milton Keynes with reliable transportation for late finishes/bank holidays.
- Highly organized, punctual, and able to work fast under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail and high personal standards for kitchen cleanliness.
- Excellent communication skills and self-motivation (no hand-holding required).
- Minimum age: 17+
Experience: We welcome both experienced chefs and eager beginners. Whether you've run busy kitchens before or are looking to kickstart your career, full training on our menu will be provided. You just need the drive, speed, and confidence to run a solo station.
Working Hours & Expectations
- Bank Holidays & Weekends: You must be available to work most bank holiday weekends (with extra overtime available on Sundays).
- Confidence is Key: The menu is straightforward and the kitchen is compact, but it gets fast-paced. Do not apply if you have doubts about your ability to work independently under pressure.
