About the Role
As a Customer Service Advisor, you'll be the friendly voice of our business, providing excellent customer service by phone and email. No two days are the same. One moment you might be helping a customer measure a fire bucket to ensure it fits their trolley, and the next you'll be advising on the most suitable fire safety products for their workplace.
You'll play a key role in ensuring every customer receives a professional, efficient and friendly service from their first enquiry through to the successful delivery of their order.

- Monday to Friday
- 9:00am – 5:00pm
- Office-based
Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include:
- Answering all incoming telephone calls promptly and professionally.
- Answering incoming calls for other departments when required.
- Processing customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Generating sales orders from purchase orders received.
- Responding to customer enquiries by telephone and email.
- Managing and organising the customer service inbox, ensuring all emails and call centre enquiries are responded to promptly or forwarded to the appropriate department.
- Keeping customers informed of any stock shortages or backorders and providing updates on expected delivery times.
- Liaising with couriers to track deliveries and keep customers informed of any delays.
- Liaising with suppliers to obtain product information and resolve customer queries.
- Preparing customer quotations and following up where appropriate.
- Arranging product returns, replacements and credits where necessary.
- Using our order management system to accurately record customer interactions, orders and service requests.
- Maintaining accurate customer records and updating information where required.
- Working closely with the warehouse, sales and purchasing teams to ensure orders are fulfilled efficiently.
- Assisting with general administrative duties to support the smooth running of the customer service department.
- Providing a consistently high standard of customer service while identifying opportunities to exceed customer expectations.

Ideally, you'll have:
- Excellent communication and listening skills.
- Previous experience in a customer service or office-based role.
- A friendly, positive and professional telephone manner.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a busy workload.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good IT skills and confidence using order management or CRM systems.
- A flexible attitude and willingness to help colleagues.
- Strong team-working skills.
- Good attendance and punctuality.
