Location: Warsash Quay, River Hamble (SO31 9FR)
Hours: 5 regular shifts per week, 8:00am–5:00pm
Days Off: Every Sunday & Monday
Mermaids Coffee is an independent coffee company with two beautiful riverside locations on the River Hamble. We roast our own specialty coffee in small batches, bake all of our cakes in-house and are passionate about providing exceptional coffee and genuine hospitality.
We're looking for a friendly, enthusiastic Full-Time Barista to become part of our team at our Warsash Quay coffee shop.
This is a permanent, ongoing salaried position with fixed weekly hours.
Please note: This is not a summer or seasonal position. We're looking for someone who can commit to an ongoing role. It may suit someone taking a gap year, but applications are welcome from anyone able to make that commitment.

We're Looking For Someone Who
- Loves providing excellent customer service
- Has a positive attitude and enjoys working as part of a team
- Works well in a busy environment
- Is reliable, organised and takes pride in their work
- Has previous barista experience and latte art skills (preferred, but not essential as full training will be provided for the right person)
- Is happy to help with food preparation, cleaning and the day-to-day running of the coffee shop
Your Role
You'll be involved in every aspect of the coffee shop, including:
- Preparing exceptional espresso-based drinks using our La Marzocco coffee machines
- Welcoming customers and delivering friendly, knowledgeable service
- Operating the till and processing orders
- Preparing food and serving cakes and light lunches
- Opening and closing the coffee shop
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, presentation and food safety
- Working closely with the rest of the team to create a welcoming atmosphere for every customer
