Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role offers an opportunity to develop barista skills in a dynamic environment, ensuring each guest receives high-quality beverages and service. Previous experience is advantageous but not essential, as comprehensive training will be provided. Applicants must be organised, punctual, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced setting.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, ensuring quality standards are met.
- Handle customer orders efficiently and accurately, maintaining a friendly and professional demeanour at all times.
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area, including equipment, counters, and seating areas, adhering to food safety standards.
- Manage stock levels and assist with inventory checks to ensure supplies are replenished promptly.
- Operate cash registers, process payments accurately, and provide correct change.
- Follow health and safety regulations related to food preparation and handling.
- Assist in opening or closing duties as required, ensuring the premises are secure and tidy.
Skills
- Knowledge of food safety practices relevant to beverage preparation.
- Previous barista experience is desirable but not mandatory; training will be provided for those new to the role.
- Experience in serving customers with professionalism and courtesy.
- Basic food preparation skills including handling ingredients and operating coffee machines.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently during busy periods.
- Basic maths skills for processing transactions accurately.
