The Gordon Ramsay Academy offers to our guests of all ages and all levels of cooking ability the chance to enjoy fun, relaxed and informative cookery classes. With multiple kitchens and a large demonstration room upstairs, the Academy is set up for a real hands-on experience in every class.
Gordon Ramsay Academy in Woking is seeking an enthusiastic and organised Receptionist to join our team (part time).
In this pivotal front-of-house role, you’ll be the first point of contact for guests — welcoming them with warmth and professionalism, managing bookings, and supporting the smooth running of classes and events. You’ll also play an integral part in the day-to-day administration of the Academy, helping deliver an exceptional experience for every guest who walks through our doors.
What you do as Receptionist:

Welcoming and checking in guests for classes, events, and private bookings

Managing reception duties during opening hours and weekends

Handling phone, email, and online enquiries with outstanding customer service

Coordinating and updating guest bookings using our booking system

Providing administration support across departments – events, HR, kitchen, and more

Preparing class materials, maintaining guest refreshment areas, and supporting online classes

Ensuring the reception area remains inviting and well-maintained at all times

Processing additional purchases/payments from guests in person and over the phone

Schedule, produce and circulate reports in a timely manner

Manage administration tasks in relation to staffing, including updates to HR Fourth system
What We’re Looking For:

Previous experience in a guest-facing or receptionist role is highly desirable

You must be available to work full time including some evenings and weekends

Exceptional communication skills – both written and verbal

Strong administration skills with excellent attention to detail

Organised, proactive, and confident managing your own workload

A warm, friendly personality and a passion for hospitality

Comfortable using Microsoft Office and learning new digital systems

A team player who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
