Andel Ltd is a leading manufacturer and supplier in the world of leak detection, oil storage and pollution prevention, and Interceptor and Drainage services.
Reporting to the Manufacturing Supervisor the PCB Assembly Technician is responsible for the assembly, soldering, inspection and basic testing of printed circuit boards used within Andel’s product range.
Job responsibilities & Duties
· Carry out soldering of various PCB assemblies
· Perform rework, repairs and modifications to PCBs where required
· Undertake visual inspection of assembled PCBs
· Carry out basic functional and electrical testing using approved equipment
· Completing productivity reports, detailing number of products made etc.
· Maintaining a safe and tidy work environment.
· Complying with internal policies and industry regulations.
· Providing support to other production areas when required
Additional job responsibilities
· Undertake Andel training as requested.
· To ensure environmental compliance and implement sustainable development in line with Andel’s Environmental Policy statement.
· Following health and safety rules to reduce the risk of workplace injury.
Job requirements
· Hands-on experience in Plated Through Hole PCB assembly, rework, and fault finding
· Strong soldering skills, ideally to IPC 610 standards (Preferred but not essential)
· Experience working with Surface Mount PCBs preferred but not essential.
· Excellent organisational and time management skills.
· Attentiveness to detail.
· Problem solving and ability to trouble-shoot.
· Self-motivated and enthusiastic
Salary: Negotiable for the right candidate
35 hour week Monday-Friday
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: From £25,800.00 per year
