Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic Bar Person/ Supervisor to join our vibrant hospitality team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about providing exceptional service in a lively environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing bar operations, supervising staff, and ensuring guests enjoy a memorable experience. Previous experience in hospitality and food safety is preferable but not necessary.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages to customers in a friendly and efficient manner
- Maintain stock levels, order supplies, and ensure the bar area is clean and organised at all times
- Handle cash transactions accurately and manage the till .
- Assist in creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests, responding promptly to their needs
- Oversee the organisation of events or special promotions at the bar
- Train new staff members on procedures, service standards, and safety protocols
- Monitor customer behaviour to ensure a safe environment for all patrons
Qualifications
experience in hospitality or restaurant environments, particularly in serving or bar roles would be preferable but not necessary.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices within the industry
- Strong understanding of responsible alcohol service and licensing laws
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and balancing .
- Good communication skills, friendly demeanour, and professional appearance
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy periods
