Salary: £26,748.80 – £29,640.00 per year + Christmas Bonus

The Beech House is a children's residential home supporting young people aged 10–17 with emotional and behavioural needs. We provide a safe, therapeutic environment where young people can heal, grow, and build brighter futures.
The Role
We’re looking for a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our amazing team as a Residential Support Worker. You’ll play a key role in supporting young people through daily routines, helping them develop life skills, and promoting independence.
Key Responsibilities
- Empower young people to build confidence, independence, and life skills through meaningful daily support and guidance.
- Create, implement, and review personalised care plans that help young people achieve their goals and reach their full potential.
- Observe progress, celebrate achievements, and maintain detailed records while identifying and responding to changing needs and behaviours.
- Help create a positive, safe, and nurturing home environment where young people feel valued, supported, and able to thrive.
- Take young people on exciting community activities, appointments, social outings, and recreational experiences, encouraging engagement and personal development.
- Build strong, collaborative relationships with families, social workers, education providers, and other professionals.
- Act as a positive role model, inspiring resilience, self-esteem, and healthy decision-making.
- Support young people through challenges, milestones, and achievements, making every day different, rewarding, and impactful.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in children’s residential care or similar setting
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A full UK driving licence (essential)
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends (essential)
- A genuine passion for supporting young people
Shift Patterns
- Early: 7:30am–3:00pm
- Late: 2:00pm–11:00pm
- Long Day: 7:30am–11:00pm
- Sleep-in shifts, 11:00pm–7:30am paid at a flat rate of £50/ per night (emergency cover only)
