SchoolCare are seeking experienced, motivated individuals to provide onsite support for our growing customer base of schools based across the south of the UK. A full driving license is required and a vehicle will be provided, to facilitate travel to and from customer sites.
SchoolCare is part of the PSD Group, which is a Technology and Communications company and includes numerous brands, including Broadband4 (an Education Focussed Internet Service Provider).
We believe that people skills are just as important as technical skills, so we are not looking for technical experts, we need people who can empathise and communicate well with our customers and who can explain technical issues in simple terms. We need people whose qualities fit with our own friendly and approachable ethos.
The role will encompass providing onsite ICT support to busy educational establishments across the South West and South East of the UK, supported by our First and Third Line Teams.
Key Skills:
- Excellent communication skills (telephone and face to face).
- Being able to communicate in ‘plain English’ is at least as important as good technical skills
- Previous experience in first or second line IT Support
- Experience working with Windows Server and Desktop Operating Systems
- Experience with Microsoft 365 and/or Google Classroom
- The ability to learn quickly – we don’t expect you to be an expert now, but we want you to become one quickly!
- A self‐starter who is comfortable working alone or within a team
- A trust worthy individual who is not afraid to ask for help if needed.
- Prepared to be flexible and open‐minded about all aspects of the job
- Driving license essential
