We are seeking a Financial Accountant to join the UK&I Controlling function, a high-performing team incorporating controls and assurance, financial reporting and accounting services.
This role focuses on balance sheet control and income statement management and analysis.
Job Description
We are looking for an individual who will support the Senior Financial Accountant in implementing improvements in processes and procedures, drive efficiencies in cost management, and deliver accurate, timely financial reporting across customer contracts while providing value-added financial support to stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Work within a robust internal financial controls framework, completing Controls Self-Assessments and ensuring control procedures are adhered to
- Complete balance sheet reconciliations in line with UK&I requirements and implement reviewer recommendations to improve reporting accuracy
- Support external audit, Group and UK&I internal audits, and Financial Controls & Assurance reviews
- Perform Month-End Close cycle for allocated accounts
- Manage Month-End activities, including accrals, prepayments, and revenue-related transactions across customer contracts
- Review overdue Accounts Receivable and Trade Working Capital reports and take corrective action where required
- Investigate and explain deviations from forecasts
- Run weekly open purchase order reports and manage aged POs to a minimum
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
- Solid Management Accounts background
- Part-qualified (ACCA, ACA or CIMA minimum preferred)
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex information
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills
- Strong organisation, planning, and time management capabilities
- Intermediate Excel skills essential; knowledge of Navision and/or OneStream advantageous
