Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced, highly organised and proactive Logistics Administrator to join our fast-paced produce packing operation. This role is responsible for coordinating the movement of fresh produce, maintaining accurate logistics documentation, liaising with transport providers and customers, and ensuring products are dispatched efficiently while meeting strict quality and delivery deadlines. The successful candidate will thrive under pressure, have excellent attention to detail, and be able to manage multiple priorities in a time-sensitive environment.
Responsibilities
- From customer’s orders calculate pallet fill, liaise with Dispatch and book pallet spaces with relevant hauliers.
· Issue orders and pallet labels to Dispatch.
· Complete ASN’s & LPNs.
· Liaise with hauliers and Dispatch staff to agree truck quantities and times of collection.
· From customers’ orders determine quantity and type of trays used and enter onto spreadsheets and de-hire on websites.
· From tray spreadsheets and forecasted customer orders place tray orders and organise transport.
· Liaise with growers and considering stocks and requirements order trays, book transport and complete spreadsheets.
· Order pallets, arrange transport, complete spreadsheets and monitor stocks.
· Organise tray return loads (Italian, Ifco & EPS), making export documents if required.
· Make regular tray and pallet stock checks at Blackminster & Springhill to ensure stock levels are good.
· Check all tray, pallet & transport invoices against spreadsheets and resolve issues.
· Arrange ad-hoc collections (rejections)
· Resolve POD queries and customer debit notes for short / failed deliveries.
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Previous experience in a logistics, transport, warehouse administration, or supply chain role.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Strong administrative and data entry skills with a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Experience using ERP, warehouse management, or logistics software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable
- Experience within a fresh produce, food manufacturing, or FMCG environment.
- Knowledge of transport scheduling and dispatch procedures.
- Understanding of food safety, quality assurance, and product traceability requirements.

Working Conditions

- Early morning, evening, weekend, or seasonal overtime may be required during peak periods.

- Weekend working essential – 1 day each weekend ( Sat or Sunday with day back in week).

Pay: £25,420.00-£27,000.00 per year
