The Head Teacher and Governors of Fellside Community Primary School seek to appoint a proactive and highly skilled School Business Manager. Salary will be dependent on qualifications and experience.

As School Business Manager, you will work closely with the Head Teacher and Senior Leadership Team to drive the school’s strategic direction. We require a School Business Manager to oversee a range of business functions including finance, HR, payroll, site management, catering systems and health & safety. We require someone to lead and manage the essential support services of the school, and help generate valuable new sources of income. Your role will be to ensure we have a robust and sustainable business strategy that allows us to achieve our school vision.
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic professional, who has had relevant experience of leading a team effectively. This role requires confidence and dynamism in dealing with the day to day pressures within a school environment. The successful candidate must be a quick-thinking team member with strong leadership skills, self-motivation and excellent attention to detail.
The successful candidate must have:
- A certificate or diploma in School Business Management or equivalent (or be willing to work towards this qualification);
- GCSE/ O-level English and Maths at Grade C or above;
- Advanced IT skills;
- Proven experience of financial and HR management in a business or school environment;
- Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills;
- Strong strategic vision and the ability to implement effective operational strategies;
- The ability to form strong relationships with staff, children, parents, carers and external stakeholders;
- Demonstrated the ability to constantly improve and
and develop through professional development and training.
