Little Loving Care is a brand new company, opening their first children's home in Chesterfield. Bluebird Eve Lodge is a 4 bedroom home where up to 2 children can live together with social and emotional difficulties until they are 18 years old.
We are passionate about supporting children to feel loved, safe and feel a sense of belonging We use Love led practice to support our children and ensure all our Adults are trained on this as part of their induction.
The company is run by highly experienced and qualified individuals. The Director has achieved Outstanding ratings at Ofsted and won Awards. The CEO has previously achieved Outstanding ratings and won awards. The Responsible Individual has over 10 years experience of working in Children's homes, in Senior Management roles. The home's Manager has over 2 years experience of working in Children's homes.

The Role
The Bank Therapeutic Carer role is flexible to cover sickness, annual leave and training. Various hours and shifts may be requested, depending on the needs of the home and availability of the employee. This can range from covering training hours in the day time to completing 16 hour shifts and include sleep in responsibilities. The role is flexible and you can choose whether you are able to work the hours offered to you. Where required you may need to complete additional hours to attend mandatory training..
The Pay
The pay ranges from £13.00 to £14.00 depending on experience and qualifications. Sleep in's are paid at an additional £60 per night.
Responsibilities
- Understand and work within the company's ethos and values
- Create loving and genuine connections with the children
- Providing a safe home and protect children and others from harm
- Work in a trauma informed and trauma responsive way
- Update relevant paperwork such as care plans and risk assessments
- Complete direct work with children in creative ways to support their learning
- Comply with the regulations and standards in place
Experience
- You do not require any experience in this role, just a positive attitude and genuine caring personality. All training and qualifications will be provided.
Person Specification
- A genuine caring and compassionate personality
- A flexible approach to work with ability to complete out of hours support
- A positive attitude to working with others and creating a team environment
- Ability to take children on holiday and all activities they chose within reason
- Ability to monitor, report and record information relevant to children
- A creative and friendly personality who wants to go above and beyond for children
