FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Contracts Manager with NEC4 programme domain experience to support a major Public Sector end client's Project and Programme Delivery (PPD) for a significant programme. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the successful administration and delivery of multiple contracts and projects across a nationally significant programme focused on managing flood and coastal risk.
You will be responsible for undertaking a variety of NEC4 Service Manager duties, ensuring effective contract governance, commercial management, programme oversight, and stakeholder engagement. Working closely with end client's Project Managers and delivery teams, you will help maintain compliance with contractual obligations, support programme performance, and contribute to the successful delivery of critical infrastructure projects.
This role offers an initial 12-month contract, with the option to extend for a further 12 months at the client's discretion.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake all NEC4 Service Manager duties across multiple contracts and projects within the programme
- Act as the NEC4 accredited Service Manager on NEC4 Professional Services Contracts (PSC), providing contract administration and supporting successful project and programme delivery
- Administer contracts in accordance with NEC4 Professional Services Contract (PSC) requirements
- Maintain close engagement with end client project teams and stakeholders to ensure service delivery aligns with programme objectives and priorities
- Manage contract administration activities through FastDraft and associated governance processes
- Support cost forecasting activities and ensure accurate financial reporting
- Prepare, review, and report contract forecasts to end client Project Managers to support project forecasting and Financial Scheme of Delegation (FSoD) requirements
- Coordinate cost transfers and payment allocations to the appropriate project, programme, and Single Operating System (SOP) cost codes
- Monitor amounts due under contract and ensure certified payments accurately reflect project allocations, preparing supporting schedules and documentation for FastDraft submission
- Monitor contract performance and ensure compliance with contractual obligations, governance requirements, and timescales
- Ensure all duties are undertaken in a collaborative, professional manner, applying appropriate technical knowledge and NEC best practice
- Manage programme information, communications, and reporting requirements
- Provide commercial support and advice to project teams and stakeholders
- Ensure contractual response periods are achieved and documented appropriately
- Work collaboratively with end client Project Managers to maintain effective contract governance
- Support risk, issue, and change management processes across multiple projects
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Provide Service Manager support across a range of NEC contracts
