Responsibilities
- Provide personalised support to children and or vulnerable adults, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Assist with daily activities and emotional support
- Implement tailored programmes to promote independence and confidence
- Mentoring individuals to develop life skills and social abilities
- Support behavioural management strategies in line with organisational policies
- Collaborate with families, carers, and other professionals to deliver cohesive support plans
- Encourage participation in educational, recreational, and community activities
- Maintain accurate records of support provided and progress made
- Uphold confidentiality and adhere to safeguarding policies at all times
Skills
- Experience or interest in working with children or vulnerable individuals
- Strong mentoring skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Patience, empathy, and a caring attitude towards those in need
- Ability to teach new skills in a clear and supportive manner
- Organised with good time management skills to balance multiple responsibilities
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and situations
