We are looking for a Cyber Helpdesk Analyst to join our Cyber Security team, supporting the day-to-day security operations of a growing global business.
Acting as the first line of escalation for cybersecurity-related issues, you will work closely with both the IT Helpdesk and Cyber Security teams to investigate security events, support vulnerability management activities, and help maintain a secure technology environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a technical support background who is looking to develop their career in cybersecurity.
This position can be based in Hull, UK or Dublin, Ireland.

Act as the first point of escalation for cybersecurity-related helpdesk tickets and service requests

Review, analyse, and triage suspected phishing emails and user-reported security concerns

Assess website access requests and perform website security evaluations

Investigate and respond to cybersecurity alerts generated by SOC analysts and security monitoring platforms

Support vulnerability management activities, including vulnerability assessment, prioritisation, and remediation tracking

Assist with the administration and maintenance of cybersecurity tools and platforms
-
Help maintain cybersecurity policies, procedures, and supporting documentation

Work closely with IT teams to resolve security issues and improve overall security posture

Support security awareness initiatives and promote cybersecurity best practices across the business

Previous experience in an IT Helpdesk, Technical Support, Service Desk, or Cyber Security Support role

Strong attention to detail and ability to investigate and analyse technical issues

Experience reviewing and responding to phishing-related security events

Understanding of vulnerability management principles and vulnerability scoring methodologies such as CVSS
-
Familiarity with vulnerability management platforms such as Qualys or similar solutions

Experience with web filtering or secure web gateway technologies such as Cisco Umbrella
-
Understanding of endpoint detection and response (EDR) tools such as CrowdStrike or similar platforms

Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including IP addressing, VLANs, and subnets
-
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

Exposure to Security Operations Centre (SOC) environments

Experience working within cyber security, risk, or governance teams

Relevant certifications such as Security+, SC-900, or equivalent
-
Experience supporting enterprise security tooling and monitoring platforms
