Summary
We're looking for a Logistics Co-Ordinator to take ownership of our shipping and logistics function.
This is a standalone role where you'll be responsible for coordinating shipments from supplier to customer, ensuring orders are delivered on time and keeping customers informed every step of the way.
You'll be the main point of contact for all logistics matters, working closely with suppliers, freight forwarders, customers and our internal team to keep everything moving smoothly.
We're a busy engineering business, so we're looking for someone who is organised, proactive and happy taking responsibility for getting the job done.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate UK and international shipments.
- Arrange transport with carriers and freight forwarders.
- Prepare shipping and export documentation.
- Track shipments and provide updates to customers and colleagues.
- Resolve delivery issues and delays.
- Work closely with the warehouse and purchasing teams to ensure orders are dispatched on time.
- Maintain accurate shipping records.
- Monitor freight costs and identify improvements where possible.
- Ensure compliance with shipping and customs requirements.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in logistics, shipping or export coordination.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication skills.
- A proactive approach to problem solving.
- Confidence working independently and taking ownership.
- Good Microsoft Office skills.
- Experience using ERP or CRM systems would be beneficial.
What We Offer
- Salary of £28,000 - £32,000 depending on experience.
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
