About Us Pritchard Commercial Services is a growing construction consultancy providing commercial, quantity surveying, and project management services across South Wales and beyond. We work with a diverse range of clients, including specialist subcontractors, main contractors, developers, architects, and private clients. As our workload continues to grow, we're looking for a motivated and ambitious Quantity Surveyor to join our team and play a key role in supporting our clients and contributing to the continued success of the business. The Role This is an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor who enjoys variety in their work and wants exposure to multiple sectors of the construction industry. You'll be involved in a broad range of commercial and consultancy services, working closely with clients and supporting projects from initial budgeting through to final account. You'll also have the opportunity to become involved in bid writing and tender submissions, assisting with procurement opportunities and framework applications for both our consultancy and our clients. Key Responsibilities Undertaking quantity take-offs and measurement exercises Preparing schedules of works and bills of quantities Producing budget cost estimates and feasibility cost plans Developing rate build-ups and pricing documentation Supporting cost control and commercial management throughout project lifecycles Providing client representation and commercial advice Assisting with project management and contract administration duties Supporting the preparation of tender submissions and bid documentation Managing and submitting opportunities through online procurement portals Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and project stakeholders
About You We're looking for someone who is commercially aware, organised, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Ideally, you'll have: Experience in a Quantity Surveying role within construction or consultancy Good understanding of construction methods, estimating, and commercial processes Strong measurement and cost planning skills Experience working with contractors, subcontractors, or consultancy clients Excellent communication and client-facing skills Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities A proactive approach and willingness to take ownership of tasks Proficiency with Microsoft Office and industry-standard QS software Full UK driving licence (preferred) What We Offer Competitive salary based on experience Flexible and supportive working environment Exposure to a wide variety of projects and clients Opportunity to develop consultancy, commercial, and bid-writing skills Genuine career progression within a growing business A friendly, professional, and collaborative team culture
