An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Powys Teaching Health Board as an Administration Support Officer within our Children’s Services team.
This role will primarily support the Children’s Neurodevelopmental (ND) Service , which provides assessment and diagnostic services for children and young people up to 18 years of age with potential neurodevelopmental conditions. All referrals accepted into the service are assessed for Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) .
In addition to supporting the ND Service, you will also provide administrative support to wider Children’s Services, as required.
As part of this role, you will:
Deliver a comprehensive clerical and administrative service, including managing diaries and service email account, organising meetings, preparing papers, and taking accurate minutes.
Communicate effectively and sensitively with colleagues, families, and external partners, ensuring confidentiality at all times.
Maintain efficient filing systems and track correspondence to support service delivery.
Assist with ordering supplies and processing invoices using Oracle.
Accurately input, update and retrieve information using Health Board systems such as WCCIS (Welsh Community Care Information System) and WPAS (Welsh Patient Administration System) to support service delivery and maintain patient records.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
