The company is an independently owned HGV maintenance and repair company, with several branches in the South-East of England, servicing all types of companies across SE England.
I am looking to recruit an experienced HGV Mechanic to join very busy workshop.
This is a great opportunity to progress your technical career, with additional HGV certification and training on offer, potentially to Master Technician level.
As HGV Technician you will be maintaining and servicing HGVs.
Further opportunities for those with ambition will arise for internal promotion.
For this position the following is required;
- Minimum 3 years proven and stable employment background working as an HGV Technician within a busy independent or main HGV dealers (We will consider other applicants who come from a light commercial vehicle background working as a Technician)
- Be qualified to City and Guilds Level II or NVQ Level III in Vehicle Mechanics
- Be able to use diagnosis machines (On-going training will always be provided as each truck brand has there own diagnosis machines)
- Be ambitious and open to career progression
- MUST have own tools
Your duties;
- Performing repairs to heavy goods vehicles, trailers and other vehicles
- Performing regular inspection and general preventive maintenance services such as tyre rotation and oil changes
- Maintaining inventory in the workshop and cleanliness from oil spills and dust
- Working with repair teams to help diagnose and plan repairs for the vehicles
- Maintaining records of vehicles that have been repaired or handled
- To fault find diagnose
On Offer;
- Starting base rate of pay between: £18.00 per hour to £23.00 plus per hour (Negotiable) + Overtime paid x1.5 + Pension + On-going training Certification + Holidays + Career growth opportunities
- Monday to Friday
