Jones & Sons - the restaurant behind the hit film Boiling Point - is a multi-platform hospitality company that has been operating for over 12 years and comprises of:
- Outside catering delivery division serving food daily to TV and Film, Fashion & Photography Studios
- A fleet of Mobile Location Catering trucks that serve the TV & Film Industry
- Two on site cafes in two of London’s prestigious film studios. Three Mills Studio & Eastbrook Studios
We are looking for a reliable, hands on and organised Catering Truck & Trailer Driver / Warehouse Manager to join our growing catering operation.
This is a varied role for someone who enjoys working on the road as well as keeping the behind the scenes operation running smoothly. You will be responsible for transporting our catering vehicles and equipment to events, assisting with set up and pack down, and maintaining an organised and efficient warehouse.
We are servicing multiple productions and there will be moves most week days in and around London as well as cross country.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely drive catering trucks, trailers and company vehicles to events and locations across London and the UK.
- Tow and manoeuvre catering trailers safely and confidently.
- Load and unload catering equipment, stock and supplies.
- Assist with event set up and pack down, including positioning catering units and equipment.
- Ensure vehicles, trailers and equipment arrive on site safely and on time.
- Carry out basic vehicle and trailer checks and report any maintenance issues.
- Ensure all vehicles and equipment are kept clean, secure and in good working condition.
Warehouse Management
- Manage the day to day organisation of the warehouse.
- Receive, check and store deliveries.
- Maintain stock levels and ensure supplies are available for upcoming jobs.
- Pick and prepare stock, equipment and supplies for upcoming jobs .
- Keep the warehouse clean, tidy, safe and well organised.
- Monitor equipment and stock condition and report any losses, damage or shortages.
- Maintain an organised system for catering equipment, disposables, cleaning products and other supplies.
- Assist with stock takes and inventory management.
General
- Work closely with the catering team to ensure smooth operations.
- Be flexible with working hours, including early mornings, evenings and weekends.
- Represent the company professionally when attending jobs, working with clients and suppliers.
About You
- Experienced in driving 7.5 tonne trucks and towing trailers. Confident manoeuvring and parking catering trailers in different locations.
- Organised and able to manage a busy warehouse independently.
- Physically fit and comfortable with loading/unloading equipment.
- Practical and able to solve problems quickly.
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible with working hours and willing to travel for events.
- Professional, presentable and customer focused.
- Experienced in hospitality, catering, logistics or warehouse operations.
Requirements
- Full UK driving licence with the appropriate entitlement for the vehicles/trailers being driven.
- Previous experience towing a trailer is essential.
- Good knowledge of London and UK roads.
- Ability to safely lift and move catering equipment and stock.
- Good organisational and communication skills.
