We hire out high-quality dog agility equipment for major shows across the country. We are looking for a reliable, hardworking Event Logistics Specialist to join our team. You will transport, set up, and manage our equipment at events.This is a highly rewarding, active role with a massive perk: we will fully fund your 18-ton HGV (Category C) driving licence.
The Reality of the Role
We believe in absolute honesty. This is not a standard 9-to-5 desk job. It is a seasonal lifestyle choice.
- The Commute: You must live within a reliable driving distance of Northchapel. You will commute to our yard daily to load, collect, and return the lorries.
- The Seasonal Rhythm: High energy from March to October; quiet and relaxed during the winter.
- The Hours: Very long days during the summer show season, including very early mornings.
- The Summer Commitment: You must sign a 48-hour weekly working limit opt-out form, as summer event weeks will require high hours.
- The Physicality: Heavy lifting and continuous manual labour are daily requirements for loading and unloading equipment.
- Weekend Show Stays: When away at weekend shows, you will stay on-site for the duration of the event. Sleeping arrangements are camping style: either sleeping in the lorry cab or pitching your own tent.
What You Will Do
- Commute & Load: Travel to our Northchapel base daily to load and prepare the equipment.
- Drive: Navigate an 18-tonne lorry safely from our yard to event grounds nationwide.
- Build: Unload heavy agility gear and construct the equipment on-site.
- Represent: Remain on attendance during the show to support organizers and manage equipment.
- Pack & Return: Dismantle the setups, reload the lorry, and drive back to base.
What We Need From You
- Dog Lover: You must genuinely love dogs and feel comfortable working around hundreds of them.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to handle demanding, heavy manual labor in all weather conditions.
- Clean Car Licence: A standard driving licence is required so we can train you for the HGV upgrade.
- Flexibility: A positive, resilient attitude toward early mornings and outdoor weekend event living.
- Proximity: You must live within a reliable commuting distance of Northchapel.
