Great, because at Code 9 Security we are recruiting for an Loss Prevention Officer to join our shopping centre security ambassador team. You will be part of a small, close-knit local team. You will be vital in providing a warm, friendly welcome to customers, supporting our retailers and delighting the public with exceptional customer service while challenging anti-social behaviour and shoplifters.
You will be fully supported by a highly experienced leadership team from Code 9 Security and our client. You can develop and enhance your role to improve our service and delight our stakeholders.
Responsibilities
· Greet customers and build a rapport with retailers
· Respond to incidents professionally and with confidence
· Facilitate safe customer access and egress in compliance with health, safety, accessibility and loss prevention protocols
· Deter, detect and respond to criminal behaviours
· Monitor surveillance and alarm systems and respond promptly to observed threats and activations.
· Provide first aid and support our safeguarding endeavours as required
· Cooperate with your colleagues and the client's management team
· Maintain positive first impressions and support the overall excellent presentation of the business
What you will need

· Have a frontline SIA Licence in Security Guarding or Door Supervision
· Have a frontline SIA Licence in CCTV
· Be willing to contribute to a close-knit team that care about their work
· Have a positive approach to providing an outstanding customer experience
· Have excellent interpersonal skills – being confident and tactful is important
· Have a good level of fitness
· Be fluent in spoken and written English and able to prepare reports and maintain records.
· Live within a 30-minute commute of Aylesbury
It would be great if you also had the following:
- Experience in retail or shopping centre environments
- A First Aid at Work qualification
- A connection to the local community

Shift Pattern
The working hours are as follows:
Monday to Saturday: 08:30 – 18:00
Sundays (and public holidays): 09:30 – 17:00
You would be expected to work no less than 37.5 hours per week, including weekends and bank holidays.
Getting to work
On-site parking is available on your duty days, or if you don't drive, the local bus and train stations are less than a 5-minute walk.
Vetting and onboarding
As part of our process, you'll need to provide a five-year verifiable employment or education history, a five-year address history and two independent referees who are not family members. You'll also be asked to declare any adverse credit history (CCJs, IVAs, bankruptcies) and complete a 3-month probationary period, meeting training requirements within 6 months. We're unable to accept applicants with unspent criminal convictions.
