Role: NML Account Manager
Location: Southwest England
Package includes Salary £35,000 plus matched pension contributions, plus car / car allowance and access to flexible benefits that support your development, wellbeing and everyday life.
Contract / Shift Pattern: Permanent, 37.5 hours per week – Mon-Fri
We're looking for an NML Account Manager to manage and develop relationships with dairy processor clients across the Southwest.
This is a commercially focused, client-facing role where you'll act as the main point of contact for a portfolio of dairy processing customers, ensuring service commitments are delivered while identifying opportunities to add value through additional testing and data services.
You'll work with a wide range of clients, from major national dairy processors to smaller regional businesses, building trusted relationships and using data-driven insights to support business growth. Whilst you'll need to understand the value of our services, you won't be expected to be technical – you'll be supported by specialist colleagues when deeper technical knowledge is required.
What You'll Be Doing
- Managing and developing relationships with a portfolio of dairy processor clients across the Southwest.
- Conducting regular service reviews to ensure service level agreements are being fulfilled.
- Reviewing client data and KPI reports to identify opportunities and provide meaningful recommendations.
- Identifying and progressing opportunities to grow revenue through additional testing and data services.
- Supporting annual fee reviews and clearly communicating the value of our services.
- Contributing to revenue planning by reviewing client trends and growth opportunities.
- Monitoring customer satisfaction and acting on client feedback.
- Reviewing invoices, resolving invoice queries and assessing credit requests where appropriate.
- Coordinating client communications, including an eight-weekly newsletter.
- Supporting client inductions, laboratory visits and customer training activities.
- Delivering presentations to processor teams and milk producer groups when required.
- Sharing customer and market insights to help shape future services and business improvements.
What We're Looking For
- Skilled in account management and commercial operations, with a history of deepening customer relationships and boosting sales.
- Experience within the dairy industry, dairy processing, agri-food or a related sector.
- Experience working with data and using analysis to support recommendations and commercial conversations.
- The ability to understand technical information and explain its commercial benefits clearly.
- Effective communication and presentation skills, with the confidence to guide professional meetings with clients.
- Good commercial judgement and the ability to negotiate effectively.
- A motivated and action-oriented approach, along with the ability to oversee a client base spread across multiple regions.
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly across the Southwest.
