Typical Duties
Duties will vary depending on what needs attention and may include:
- General minor repairs and maintenance
- Small painting and decorating jobs
- Changing light bulbs and fittings where appropriate
- Putting up shelves, pictures, signs or other small fixtures
- Tightening or repairing loose fittings, handles, hinges and similar items
- Minor furniture repairs and assembly
- Keeping the outside and garden areas tidy
- Weeding and general garden maintenance
- Repotting and looking after plants
- Cleaning and tidying outdoor areas
- Small touch-up and improvement jobs around the restaurant
- Identifying minor maintenance problems before they become bigger problems
- Other light practical jobs as required
The role does not involve specialist electrical, gas or other work that legally requires a qualified tradesperson.

Having your own basic tools would be helpful, although this can be discussed.
